Essential Functions and Objectives: 
This position will provide school performance and student academic data analysis and support to the Portfolio Management Team. The position will serve as a bridge between the Portfolio Management Team and the Department of Accountability, Research & Evaluation (ARE).  Data analysis provided by this position will be used to drive key decisions around school accountability, as well as ongoing progress monitoring.  This position also provides direct support to charter schools around key academic accountability processes such as the Unified Improvement Plans (mandated by the state of Colorado) and the School Performance Framework (report card for schools in Denver).
- Serve as a liaison between the Portfolio Management Team and the Accountability, Research & Evaluation (ARE) department in order to facilitate access to and analysis of student and school-level performance data by Portfolio team members.
- Provide professional development and resources to Portfolio staff and public charter schools to build team capacity around accessing, understanding, and using student achievement data and school-level performance data.
- Provide data support for Portfolio’s school quality assurance processes, new school processes, and school accountability processes by compiling, analyzing and reporting student demographic and achievement data. 
- Produce semi-annual analyses of the performance of all DPS public charter schools and analyze the portfolio for trends in performance at multiple levels.
- Produce mid-year and end-of-year- analyses of performance data for public charter schools designated for tiered support and oversight annually.
- Lead in the creation of public charter school annual reports.
- Support UIP data analysis and statutorily required feedback to public charter schools as appropriate in partnership with Manager of Tiered Quality Assurance.
- Serve as a resource to schools in obtaining the information they need about the School Performance Framework data and/or other high stakes academic assessment data.
- Compile and analyze data as needed for Portfolio Management leadership.
- Complete other duties as assigned in order to support the work of Portfolio. 
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications: 
Prior experience in education strongly preferred.
Experience analyzing large data sets required.
3 years professional experience minimum.
Knowledge of and interest in educational best practices and autonomous schools.
Familiarity with student achievement data in large urban districts.
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Ability to analyze and synthesize school performance data.
Proficiency in query skills using SQL and Access.
Report skills using MS Access, SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel Services, etc.
Ability to present data in both written and visual forms for a variety of stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and editing skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills, especially skills to follow-up with stakeholders in clear and consistent manner.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to operate in a complex environment of change and ambiguity.
Strong skills using workplace technology (including project management software) to communicate, collaborate and improve productivity.
Education Requirements: 
Bachelor’s Degree required; graduate degree preferred.
