Jefferson County Public Library is looking for a Contracts and Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive Finance team.
Be our expert resource in contract administration/compliance, contract development and renewal services.
Manage contract details and performance of vendors; develop contracts and ensure our contract details match county attorney requirements. Negotiate terms when necessary. Manage RFP evaluation and vendor selection process.
Develop and assist with the development of RFPs. Be the point person for all library contracts.
Responsible for fiscal monitoring, processing financial transactions, cost control and performing reconciliations.
Liaison with staff, management, and external stakeholders in the development of contract language and other contract management processes and/or protocols.
Communicate frequently with staff regarding resources and updating of ongoing services.
Process receivables and payables with accuracy.
Provide training, information and support to library staff on revenue processing and cash handling.
Be an active member of the Finance team.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Minimum of 3 years work experience with contracts and financial support. Experience with government contracts and finance is preferred.
Strong analytical skills in areas of budget expenditures, remediation, and reconciliation. Intermediate skills in reading, math and writing required.
Demonstrated experience working within accounting software. Experience with JD Edwards financial software desirable.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with strong verbal/written interpersonal communication skills as well as organizational skills.
Must be available to work some evenings, weekends and minor holidays.
